You can use our website without disclosing personal information. Some services and features of our website may be subject to different regulations, which will be pointed out clearly in the following text. We only process your personal data in accordance with the applicable statutory provisions. The following regulations will inform you about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection, utilisation and processing of personal data carried out by the operator of this website.

    Responsible authority

The operator and responsible authority as per the German Data Protection Act is:
    Leipziger Messe GmbH
    Messe-Allee 1, 04356 Leipzig
    Phone +49 341 678-0
    E-mail: info@leipziger-messe.de

    Data collection and utilisation

The following data, which your internet browser automatically sends to our web server, are stored by our server log files for technical reasons:

the type and version of your browser, the operating system you are using, the referrer URL (website from which you are visiting), the website you are currently using, the date and time of access, and your IP address.

These data are stored in a separate location from any personal data you may disclose to is and cannot be associated with any particular individual. They are evaluated for statistical purposes in order to optimise the content and service of our website and protect it from attacks. These data are not disclosed to third parties. Their evaluation is always anonymous.

Personal data are only stored if you voluntarily disclose them, e.g. while ordering tickets, registering a booth, participating in a prize draw or subscribing to a newsletter. If you voluntarily disclose personal data, we will not use, process or disclose these data beyond the boundaries of what is legally permissible or what you have specified by way of a declaration of consent. We will only disclose your data to third parties in cases where we are obliged to do so by governmental or judicial order.

    Cookies and tracking

We analyse how our services are used in order to optimise them. These analyses are pseudonymised as per Section 15 Subsection 3 TMG as much as possible, i.e. the name and other identifying characteristics are replaced by a neutral label in order to prevent the association of the data with a particular natural person.

    Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies that allow us to analyse your use of our website and online services. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website and online services will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We use Google Analytics with the “anonymizeIp()” setting, which ensures that all IP addresses transferred to Google are first truncated and processed on servers located in the EU in order to prevent their association to any individual. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to the use of our website and the internet to the website operator. Google might disclose this information to third parties if it is legally obliged to do so or if third parties are processing these data on behalf of Google. The IP address transmitted to Google Analytics from your browser will not be associated with any other Google data. You can prevent the installation of the cookie for Google Analytics by way of a setting in your browser software; in this case, you may be unable to use certain functions of our websites fully. Google offers a deactivation option for all commonly used browsers. If you activate this option, no data on your website visit will be transferred to Google Analytics. Activating the option will not prevent the transmission of information to us or other web analytics services we might use. You can find out more about the deactivation option and its activation provided by Google at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

This website further makes use of Google Analytics reports about demographic characteristics, which use data from targeted advertising provided by Google and visitor data from third parties (e.g. age, gender and interests). These data cannot be associated with any specific individual and can be deactivated in the display ad settings at any time.

    Google Conversion Tracking

Our websites also use Google Conversion Tracking, a Google analytics service. Google Adwords stores a cookie on your computer (“conversion cookie”) if you have reached our website via a Google ad. These cookies become invalid after 30 days and are not used for purposes of personal identification. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie is still valid, we and Google can see that someone has clicked the ad and was forwarded to our website. Every AdWords customer receives their own cookie. It is impossible to track cookies via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected by the conversion cookie are used to create conversion statistics for AdWords clients who have chosen conversion tracking. These AdWords clients find out the overall number of users who have clicked their ad and were forwarded to a page that carries a conversion tracking tag. They do not receive any information that would allow them to identify any user. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can refuse cookies, e.g. by way of a browser setting that deactivates cookie storage. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by blocking cookies set by the domain "googleadservices.com" in your browser.

If you are visiting our site from a mobile device (e.g. a smartphone or tablet), you can refuse the future use of Google Analytics via this link. When you activate the link, we set a cookie in your browser that tells us to stop using Google Analytics for your device. Please note that you have to activate the link again if you remove the cookies in your browser.

    Google Tag Manager

This website uses the Google Tag Manager. This service allows us to manage website tags via a graphical user interface. The Google Tag Manager only implements tags. This means: it does not use cookies nor collect personal data. The Google Tag Manager activates other tags that might collect data. The Google Tag Manager does not access this data. Deactivation of this service on the domain or cookie level, will affect all tracking tags implemented via the Google Tag Manager.

    Wired Minds

For the purpose of marketing and optimisation, our website uses products and services provided by WiredMinds GmbH, Lindenspürstraße 32, 70176 Stuttgart ("WiredMinds")(www.wiredminds.de). This involves the collection, processing and storage of data from which pseudonymised usage profiles can be generated. These usage profiles are anonymised completely wherever possible. This can involve cookies. Cookies are small text files stored in the user’s internet browser for the purpose of recognising this internet browser during subsequent visits. The collected data are transferred to WireMinds or collected directly by WireMinds. WireMinds is allowed to use information collected from website visits in order to create anonymised usage profiles. The collected data are not used to identify the website visitor without the explicit consent of the affected party and they are not associated with any personal data of the person behind the pseudonym. If any IP addresses are collected, they will be anonymised by deleting the last number block as soon as they are collected. You can always withdraw your consent to the future collection, processing and storage of your data. To prevent data collection by WiredMinds, click the following link. This will store an opt-out cookie, which prevents the future collection of your data during visits to this website.

    Aumago

We work with Aumago GmbH, Neue Schönhauser Str. 20, 10178 Berlin ("Aumago"), a target group marketer. Aumago uses cookies, small text files that are stored in your internet browser and collect/contain anonymous usage data for the purpose of usage-based online advertising (Online Behavourial Targeting / OBA), including the type of website visited, categories and/or product pages visited and/or the browser and device used.

They do not collect any personal data. The collected usage data cannot be associated with the user's real identity. These cookies are either Aumago cookies or cookies by service providers hired by Aumago bedient, e.g. krux digital Inc. You can delete the cookies directly from your browser at any time, manage your cookie preferences at http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/ or deactivate the storage of Aumago cookies at http://www.krux.com/krux_privacy/consumer_choice/. On the basis of its anonymous analysis of the user's surfing habits, Aumago segments the information contained in the cookies by categories, e.g. browser 1 is assigned the "category A" cookie on website X, and facilitates more specifically targeted online advertising tailored to the interests presumed on the basis of these categories. Aumago markets these anonymous, impersonal data in the context of individualised online adverts.

    AWIN

This website uses the affiliate advertising networks of AWIN AG, Eichhornstraße 3, 10785 Berlin (“AWIN”). Conversion trackings are used in this context.

If you have reached the above website via an advert from one of these affiliate networks, a cookie will be stored on your computer and remain valid for 90 days. During this period, we and the corresponding affiliate network can recognise that you have been forwarded to the above site.

These cookies help create statistics that anonymously evaluate whether the contact has generated sales. This evaluation serves the purpose of billing and evaluating adverts and does not contain any personal data about you.

If you do not want any cookies to be stored in your browser, you can prevent it with a setting in your browser. Navigate to Settings/Privacy (or equivalent) to deactivate the storage of cookies altogether, limit it to certain websites or activate alerts that notify you about the storage of new cookies. In this case, certain parts of our online services and functions might not be fully usable. You can delete cookies at any time. If you do so, the stored information are deleted from your device.

    Facebook plugins

This website uses plugins by the social network facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). If you access our website from web pages which have such a plugin, this creates a link to the Facebook servers and the plugin is shown on the web page by a message to your browser. This tells the Facebook server which of our web pages you have visited. If you are logged in as a member of Facebook at the same time, Facebook will allocate this information to your personal Facebook user account. When using the plugin functions (e.g. clicking on the "like" button, making a comment), this information is also assigned to your Facebook account; you can only prevent this from happening by logging out before using the plugin. You will find more detailed information on the collection and use of data by Facebook and on your rights to protect your privacy in this regard in Facebook’s data protection policy.

    https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/

We also use the Facebook "visitor action pixel". This tool allows to track users’ behaviour after being redirected to the vendor’s website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This enables Facebook to evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook advertising for statistical and market research purposes and can help optimise future advertising measures. The collected data are anonymous to us and do not allow us to draw any conclusions to the identity of the users. Facebook stores and processes the data, however, and might associate individual data with individual user profiles for its own advertising purposes as per the Facebook privacy policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). You can allow Facebook and its partners to display adverts on Facebook and other websites. To this end, a cookie can be stored on your computer.

    Modifications to this privacy policy.

We keep this privacy policy up to date. Occasionally, we might have to adapt the privacy policy to changed actual or legal conditions.

Access/deletion/correction of data, withdrawal of consent

You can request access to any personal data about you and insight into any consent you have given regarding the use of personal data at any time. You are entitled to withdraw consent with future effect at any time. You are entitled to request correction of false data or deletion of personal data unless this right is in conflict with legal retention requirements. In such cases, please send an e-mail or letter to our data protection officer, Mr Claus-Peter Voigt: c.voigt@leipziger-messe.de, address: Leipziger Messe GmbH, Messe-Allee 1, 04356 Leipzig.
