Every year the team from GRAFE weaves its magic with a new and fascinating Color Preview. We dive down deep into the world of color. Come along with us on our journey.

Color Preview 20176 - Symphony of Colors

The GRAFE-DESIGN-CENTER has always stood for uniqueness. However, the creativity and skill for color craftsmanship originate in the minds of the individual staff members. Our Color Preview 2017 represents a new and daring step in combining color and music as it has never been experienced before. In the „Symphony of Colors“, a specially commissioned piece of music, you can experience the integration of colors with sound. The colors are made audible. Together with the orchestra of the Music College “Franz Liszt” in Weimar, the GRAFE-DESIGNCENTER has created an audiovisual highlight. The unique work of art skillfully unites color with music and instruments, leaving the listener enchanted by both sound and visuals. From dreamily light to epically uplifting, this amazing piece of music makes the colors visible.

The colors of 2017 are marked by extreme contrasts. Shades of green and blue dominate. They present themselves in rough variations of aquamarine reflecting the natural greens of forests and meadows. These extreme contrasts are similarly reflected in the color effects. Glimmer and shimmer can be left out entirely, or used to create clear glittering accents. The boundaries between the natural and artificial worlds are seamless and blurred.
