20 years FAIRNET: More global than ever
FAIRNET develops tailored concepts for convincing presentations for companies in a variety of industries. This competence also impressed a number of new international customers during the last six months, such as at drupa in Düsseldorf, where FAIRNET accompanied a total of five companies for the first time. At this major performance exhibition of the print and print media industry, the Düsseldorf-based office designed a total of 1,000 square meters for companies from Turkey, the US, Germany, Belgium and India.
IFAT in Munich was the first time that the Leipzig firm was responsible for the presentation by Nivus, where it used interactive elements to ensure that the specialist for measurement technology stood out from its trade fair competition. FAIRNET also accompanied its new customer Interessengemeinschaft der Thermischen Abfallbehandlungsanlagen in Deutschland (ITAD) to the trade show, and in addition to the joint stand for the association members also organised the joint evening event for the exhibitors.
Another first collaboration was established with AER Ticket at ITB 2016 in Berlin. It was also the first time that FAIRNET was in charge of a trade fair stand in the US - for the Reicofil tyre subsidiary. An already developed programme was adapted for IDEA, the leading trade fair for spunbonded fabric and technical fabrics.
Partner from the region for companies in central Germany
With its extensive central German network, FAIRNET is also an attractive partner for companies in the region. At BAUMA in Munich, the Leipzig-based firm TENOVA TAKRAF staged its heavy machinery with the help of FAIRNET. Similarly, Mitteldeutsche Airport Holding and Leipziger Leuchten also relied on the services provided by the trade fair professionals at the ITB and the Light & Building trade fair in Frankfurt, respectively. Stadtwerke Leipzig attended the public trade fair HAUS-GARTEN-FREIZEIT under the new umbrella brand “Leipziger”, with help from FAIRNET.
Know-how for impressive events and successful conventions
As a part of the Leipziger Messe service network, FAIRNET also contributed its extensive service range to event highlights such as the première of DreamHack Germany. In February, the event specialists created the ideal game conditions for the international elite of women’s tennis for the first round of the FedCup in HALLE:EINS, and in May prepared a festive reception at KONGRESSHALLE am Zoo Leipzig for the guests of the Presidency Reception at the International Transport Forum. For RoboCup Leipzig, the world championship of intelligent robots, FAIRNET turned the trade fair halls into one-of-a-kind competition arenas in June. More than 70 playing fields were constructed over an area of 80,000 square metres, complete with complex infrastructure and according to strict specifications.
As the partner for convention organisers, FAIRNET also assisted with the German X-Ray Congress. In 2016, this event was held in the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) for the first time, with help from an experienced team that managed everything from exhibitors to the guidance system. FAIRNET was also a trusted partner to Hotel- und Gastronomie-Kauf eG, which held its in-house trade fair at the CCL. In addition, a new concept was implemented for the leading OTWorld trade show, when a modern congress centre was integrated directly into the technical exhibition in the Messehalle, covering an area of 10,000 square metres.
20 years FAIRNET
FAIRNET started operations in 1996 as a subsidiary of Leipziger Messe. Companies such as Tutima Glashütte and Calida have been loyal customers from the beginning, and are still relying on the services of the Leipzig-based firm today. The anniversary gives reason to take a look back at the company's history: “FAIRNET has always adapted to the changing requirements of its customers and changing markets. Our anniversary offers an opportunity to highlight these developments once more, and use them to develop ideas for the future,” says FAIRNET authorized representative Dirk Deumeland, speaking not only of the company's development as a service partner and service provider for trade fairs, events and conventions, but also as an employer, trainer and client as part of a large network.
