All expectations exceeded for MUTEC and denkmal

13,900 visitors made use of the opportunity to get up to speed on the latest developments and current trends at the two trade fairs. With 80 exhibitors from 10 countries, MUTEC was able to register significant growth. The professional programme was also extended significantly this year. These developments were met with a lot of interest from visitors: Roughly 90 percent are planning to return and 89 percent are willing to recommend MUTEC to their peers.

    Statements to MUTEC 2016

Markus Geisenberger, Chief Executive Officer of Leipziger Messe

Andreas Honer, Berater, MBA-Design & Display Produkt

"Posting a significant increase in visitors, MUTEC saw a successful premiere as an event organised by Leipziger Messe itself. The visitor numbers of denkmal have increased as well, proving admirably that it has become the most important event for the sector across Europe. In combination, these two international trade fairs have come to take the role of a vanguard for the preservation of cultural heritage."

Klaus Bulle, managing director, Axiell ALM Germany

"Our stand was visited a lot, so we are very satisfied with the way things went for us here. Above all, we met with interesting customers from fields that previously had not even caught our eye as a target group. The way of selling our software exclusively online was not right for us. Direct contact with the client is what counts. And that exactly is what we find at MUTEC. Direct feedback from clients is indispensable for a solid market presence."

Christian Rinn of Ahlborn Mess- und Regelungstechnik

Christian Rinn, Technisches Büro Nordbayern, Ahlborn Mess- und Regelungstechnik

"As a technology provider, we supply solutions for clients from the fields of historic monument preservation and museums. Based on our long years of experience, we have tailored our product development to suit these areas. This means that denkmal and MUTEC are the ideal backdrop for us to establish business contacts."

Dr. Barabara Weber-Dellacroce, senior consultant, Tuomi S.A. (Luxembourg)

"We managed to establish a great number of promising new contacts at the trade fair. For us, MUTEC 2016 is definitely a highlight of this year’s European trade fair calendar in this area. Several people had recommended it to us. We were delighted by the warm welcome and the wonderful opening ceremony. Beside our satisfaction with how the event went for us, our contact persons displayed a degree of friendliness, commitment and professional demeanour that has impressed us immensely."

"Our wall modules with acoustic features and our video boxes were highly sought after by many interested trade visitors flocking to our stand. We hardly had time to catch our breath. A very high number of experts came from museums. We had more conversations compared with 2014, and they were far more effective."

"This is the first time we are here, and we are highly satisfied with MUTEC 2016. This year’s trade fair is very good for us. Many interesting people – a wholly positive experience. We had previously been focussing on the British market. In the context of Brexit and its associated changes, MUTEC 2016 is of course a good opportunity to present ourselves adequately in Germany."

Norin Trobradovic, sales engineer, and Prof Dr. Jaap J Boon, art historian, Hirox Europe (France)

Norin Trobradovic, Vertriebsingenieur und Prof Dr. Jaap J Boon, Kunstwissenschaftler, Hirox Europe (Frankreich)

"Thanks to the international appeal of the trade fair, we were able to make some contacts to Germany, but also connect with Poland, Switzerland and Latvia. We thus managed to sustainably strengthen our publicity within the art world."

    Gunnar Bloss, authorised officer, Werk5

"We have generated a lot of interest at MUTEC 2016 and were able to make many interesting new contacts, despite the fact that this was our first time here. MUTEC 2016 was an all-around success for us."

Prof. Dr. Holger Simon, managing associate, Pausanio GmbH & Co. KG

Prof. Dr. Holger Simon, geschäftsführender Gesellschafter, Pausanio GmbH & Co. KG

"The further training and seminars of our Pausanio Akademie at this year’s MUTEC were very well received and accepted, despite the fact that combining a trade fair with a training event is a bit unconventional. We have reached the right audience and had valuable follow-up discussions at our trade fair stand, supplying potential clients with further information on our solutions."

Joachim Breuninger, the chairman of the association

Joachim Breuninger, Vorsitzender des Sächsischen Museumsbundes

"Cooperating with Leipziger Messe was a good move for the Saxon Museum Association. Our members reacted very warmly to how our training event was combined with a tour of the trade fair. The Saxon Museum Association would be pleased to repeat this arrangement in two years’ time."
