INFORMATION FOR SPEAKERS
Overview of information for speakers
Registration / Admission
You have already been informed individually about your admission by email. Please, do not register separately for the congress! All speakers will be registered by the congress office.
Protection of patients’ privacy
In using images of patients, the speaker must ensure that the person cannot be identified from the image. Otherwise, the speaker must obtain the affected person’s (or his/her representative’s) consent to the publication in the present form. The speaker guarantees the existence of such consent.
With the publication of the abstract, the speaker grants permission to have it stored perpetually in databases. The abstract of the presentation is published in the online congress programme and – if applicable – will be published in an electronic collection of abstracts of the world congress.
ePosters will be presented on monitors from Tuesday 15th May to Friday 18th May 2018 in the Congress Centre OTWorld, and can be viewed by visitors for the entire duration of the event.
Oral presentation of your ePoster
In addition to the visual presentation, you also have the opportunity to give a short lecture on your ePoster to a poster commission and visitors to the World Congress. You will be allotted a maximum of 3 minutes speaking time per ePoster.
You can find a detailed description for creating your ePoster in the guidelines.
Guidelines for Poster Presentation
Please upload your ePoster by 15th April 2018 at the latest via the upload server:
Time frame of your presentation
Each speaker has already been informed by e-mail about the allotted presentation time. The session chairs are asked to ensure that all speakers adhere to the allotted presentation time. Each session will be concluded by a discussion at the end of the entire session.
Language of your presentation
During the world congress, simultaneous translations into German or English will be offered for most of the presentations. Speakers may give their lectures either in English or German, if they are simultaneously translated, however, PowerPoint presentations must be provided in English. You have already been informed about your presentation language by email.
In Case of simultaneously translated lecture, please prepare your presentation/slides in English in order to address the international audience as well.
For details on presentation techniques, see the information regarding lecture technology.
