Level 2 complete: gamers throng to the second DreamHack Leipzig – From 13 to 15 January 2017, the Leipzig Trade Fair was transformed into a giant festival for gamers from throughout Europe. Over the course of three days, 15,000 enthusiastic visitors (including 1,500 LAN participants) witnessed exciting e-sports tournaments, celebrated spectacular events, and tested innovations at the stands of the DreamExpo. There were 56 hours of non-stop play at Germany's biggest LAN party. "The second DreamHack Leipzig was a huge success which even managed to surpass the excellent première of the previous year. Thanks to the close collaboration between everyone involved, within the space of just one year the festival has developed into a highlight event for gamers", explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of the Leipzig Trade Fair, adding: "Leipzig is ready for Level 3 of DreamHack next year."

Streaming stars at DreamHack Leipzig – Streamers are the pop stars of the gaming scene. We will be paying homage to their popularity by inviting some of them to DreamHack Leipzig in 2017, where they will be broadcasting from a dedicated streaming area in Hall 5. Visitors of the three-day event can look forward to an absolute highlight. They get to watch their idols in action and say hello to them in person in the meet & greet area. Gamers who cannot make it to Leipzig between 13 and 15 January 2017 can experience the festival in real time on many YouTube and Twitch channels – from anywhere in the world.

The second DreamHack Leipzig is about to begin: three days of exciting events, high-tech and superlative gaming await – This weekend, the Leipzig Trade Fair will again become a Mecca for thousands of gaming enthusiasts from Germany and abroad, when the second DreamHack Leipzig gets under way. Gamers and fans will find thousands of e-sports tournaments, the DreamExpo exhibition area, Germany's biggest LAN party, a Stream Arena with Germany's streamer elite, a large Pokémon area, and a jam-packed events programme. "With a considerably bigger venue and an even bigger programme, this year's DreamHack Leipzig will even surpass the successful première of last year", explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of the Leipzig Trade Fair. "Together with our co-organiser XMG, we are looking forward to a three-day event bursting with highlights and emotions."
