One of the oldest trade-fair locations in the world, the City of Leipzig has always been a place to meet and exchange ideas and experiences as well as goods. The little town at the intersection of the two great trading routes, the Via Regia and the Via Imperii, received its City Charter and Market Privilege as far back as 1165.
