  New record for convention business – In terms of convention business, 2016 proved to be the strongest year in two decades, with the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) and the KONGRESSHALLE am Zoo Leipzig generating turnover of approximately 9 million euros. Numerous large-scale medical conferences for an international audience, high calibre corporate business events and new space arrangements for event organisers through the official opening of the KONGRESSHALLE early in the year all contributed to the record performance.

  Strong convention year for CCL and KONGRESSHALLE – Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) and KONGRESSHALLE am Zoo Leipzig can look back on a strong performance during the first six months of the year. Numerous conventions with several thousand participants from around the world and high-ranking guests, along with a consistently filled events calendar, contributed to this result.

  CCL marks 20th anniversary with a new venue – This year, Congress Center Leipzig of Leipzig Trade Fair marks its anniversary and looks back on 20 years of successful development. In addition, they started operating a new venue in downtown Leipzig on January 1, 2016. Among a variety of events, the KONGRESSHALLE am Zoo Leipzig has already hosted its first medical meetings with great success.
