Dates and Facts

With its Focus Education the Leipzig book fair invites teachers and educators, as well as schoolchildren and parents to experience the largest event for reading promotion and media education in the German speaking region. With practically oriented further education events, exciting readings for children and teenagers and with its own exhibition areas for education media and school and day-care centres, as well as literature for children and teenagers in the Fair Hall 2, it is the meeting place to discover innovations and engage in exchanges with colleagues. In total 32,000 teachers and educators visited the Leipzig book fair 2017. In addition roughly 29,600 schoolchildren came to the fair with their classes, to gain inspiration for reading in the numerous events.
