As one of the first signatories of the joint declaration "Kinder und Familien willkommen!" (Kids and Families Welcome!), Leipziger Messe is also a contributor to the city of Leipzig's openness to children and families.

The company assists its employees with the balancing of family and work life - including flexible work hours, part-time options and cooperation with Leipzig daycare centres. Young parents are offered daycare and kindergarten spaces.

Leipziger Messe also initiates regular activities to increase employee motivation for a healthy lifestyle:

As part of a health day, employees were able to take advantage of various advisory services for preventative healthcare measures at no charge. Some of the targeted areas included back and posture, nutrition and fitness, as well as body fat analysis and cardiovascular check-ups. Additional health days will follow.

Also included is participation in the walking competition "Der Weg der Grossen Messen", during which employees completed a virtual distance from Berlin through Hanover and Cologne to Leipzig, based on actually recorded steps.

Another contribution to preventative healthcare is the flu shot, which is offered to Leipziger Messe employees on an annual basis and is carried out on location.

Beach Volleyball, Bowling Cups and Indoor Football are just some of the sports activities used by the company to promote the physical fitness of its employees.
