The conference programme of CosmeticBusiness 2018 highlights trends, new developments and innovations – The CosmeticBusiness 2018, which will take place from 6 to 7 June at the MOC Munich, offers plenty of scope for discovering trends, new developments and innovations in the cosmetics and supplying industry with its conference programme. Current industry topics are examined by experts in trend and specialised lectures. At SPOTLIGHTS, new products from exhibitors will be presented in more detail. In addition, an information event organised by the German Cosmetic, Toiletry, Perfumery and Detergent Association (IKW) provides insights into the subject area of cosmetics law. Presentations on the cosmetics markets in Germany and Switzerland round off the conference programme.

Europa21: ARE WE REALLY THE BEST? – From March 15 to March 18 the Leipzig Book Fair and the Robert Bosch Stiftung will once again open up a space for thinking tomorrow’s society with their programme Europa21, back now for the third time. Titled “Are we really the best?” this year’s curator Mohamed Amjahid brings together international guests from civil society, culture, science, and the media. Guests are invited to reflect on Europe’s past, discuss the present and develop ideas for the future of the continent. Visitors to the Leipzig Book Fair can choose from six panel discussions at “Café Europa” or join the Duel on Europe at the Zeitgeschichtliches Forum on Friday evening. For the first time an artist twosome enters the Thinking Space. Duo Various & Gould will captivate the people of Leipzig and visitors to the fair with their poster series Identikits, which asks them to reflect on identity and cliché.

DreamHack Leipzig builds a huge fan base – An exuberant festival atmosphere, big emotions and beaming winners: from 26 to 28 January 2018, DreamHack Leipzig celebrated its third edition and fully lived up to this year’s maxim of “Experience Gaming”. 18,500 visitors (including more than 1,700 LAN participants) descended on Leipziger Messe to cheer on the contestants of the many exciting tournaments, try out the latest technology and enjoy the action-packed events programme. In the previous year, 1,500 gamers attended the festival at Leipziger Messe. “DreamHack Leipzig has once more excelled itself, with a definite increase in visitor numbers this year. The even bigger and more diverse offering this year was hugely popular with gamers from across Europe. Together with the community, the dream team comprising Leipziger Messe, Schenker Technologies and DreamHack AB is already hugely looking forward to the next DreamHack Leipzig”, explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe.
