  Debut of Russian Forum on Prosthetics & Orthotics is a resounding success! – ‘Integration’, the international trade fair for rehabilitation equipment organized by Messe Düsseldorf Moscow, and the first-ever RFPO Russian Forum on Prosthetics & Orthotics hosted by LMI Leipziger Messe International came to a successful end today in Moscow. These two shows featuring a total of 130 exhibitors, including 48 businesses from 13 countries at the RFPO, were attended by more than 2.350 registered trade visitors. The accompanying seminar programme featured 130 speakers and panellists from 8 countries. The main points on the programme were live demonstrations of products and technological breakthroughs, discussion of treatment examples, lectures on technical innovations and methods used to treat patients, rehabilitation after amputations, and the orthopaedic treatment of diabetic patients.

  Experience Gaming: ticket sales for DreamHack Leipzig 2018 get under way next week – Over the past two years, DreamHack Leipzig has established itself as a giant festival for gaming fans from throughout Europe. In 2018, fans and gamers can once again expect a three-day marathon with exciting e-sports tournaments, hardware and software innovations at the DreamExpo, Germany’s biggest LAN party, a cosplay competition and other spectacular events. Tickets for next year’s festival – which will take place from 26 to 28 January 2018 at the Leipzig Trade Fair site – will go on sale from 1.37 pm on 27 June 2017.

  CosmeticBusiness Poland enters its second year – The second edition of CosmeticBusiness Poland is to be held from 27 to 28 September in the EXPO XXI Exhibition Centre in Warsaw. At the trade fair for the cosmetics supplying industry, held in combination with the HPCI – Home and Personal Care Ingredients Exhibition and Conference, manufacturers and brands will find all the products and services they need to develop, produce and package their cosmetic products, as well as detergents. Adding to the varied range of products and services at the show, there will, this year, be numerous new exhibitors. Moreover, the accompanying conference programme will include a newly introduced matchmaking event, designed to encourage and facilitate even more professional discussions during the trade fair.

  efa 2017 on course with new schedule – According to the current spring survey of the central association of the German electrical and information technology trades ZVEH the economic mood throughout Germany in the e-trades is as good as never before. The latest economic survey of the professional association for electrical and information technology Saxony / Thuringia confirms this: for example with 97 days the average range of orders in hand in February 2017 was 15 days higher than one year before. This upward trend forms an excellent starting position for the efa 2017, which with the new schedule (September 20 to 22) moves forward one month. With a top-class exhibition area and a comprehensive professional program the trade fair provides information about innovative products, current topics and groundbreaking developments.

  ISPO World Congress reaches out to the African market for orthopaedic aids – For four days, 2,000 prosthetists, orthotists, doctors, therapists and engineers met in Cape Town to discuss the future development of treatments using orthopaedic aids like prostheses and orthoses and other Assistive Health Technology. Particular emphasis was given at this year’s World Congress of the International Society for Prosthetics & Orthotics (ISPO) reaching out to the health services in Africa and for the companies to the African market. A particular goal was to raise awareness of the need to provide treatment for every person with a disability.

  16th ISPO World Congress opens in Cape Town – After Lyon in 2015, the World Congress of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) is, this time, taking place from 8 to 11 May 2017 in South Africa, one of the world’s threshold nations. The exhibition space in the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) is fully booked, with some 120 exhibitors from 31 different countries. Alongside innovative developments in the orthopaedic technology sector, there will be a focus, in both the congress and the trade exhibition, on the all-round treatment of people with disabilities.

  New training congress with industry exhibition for orthopaedic and rehabilitation technology in Russia – Leipziger Messe International (LMI) has created a totally new event format for orthopaedic technology in Russia. LMI has succeeded in involving all market stakeholders among both suppliers and buyers from all over Russia in the development of the Russian Forum on Prosthetics & Orthotics. Until now, training courses in orthopaedic and rehabilitation technology in Russia have been few and far between, meaning there is a huge demand for further training and interdisciplinary dialogue among technicians, doctors and therapists. The new concept responds to this by setting up a training and development platform.

A trade fair stand that was well thought-out to the smallest detail and which invited visitors to immerse themselves in a dazzling underwater world, garnered a lot of attention and a positive response from customers and potential new customers, as well as the national and international trade audience.
